Challenge
Milk is the largest yield on this planet and there is a solid need for technology interventions, especially in the developing markets where the yield per animal is low, traceability is insufficient and quality is not up to the mark. Digitization of the Agri-Dairy supply chain in the developing markets is where the company helps reveal record value on a very large scale.
Even though India is the largest consumer of milk, the methods used in dairy have not been satisfactory. With the highest number of farms and cows in the world, the country had some of the worst productivity levels. There is also a lack of transparency in the industry, and milk is often contaminated with pollutants to increase profitability. Tracking the origin of your milk helps increase transparency and brands will be able to garner trust.
Solutions
Stellapps’ platform attains data via sensors that are rooted in milking systems, animal wearables, milk chilling gear, and milk procurement surroundings. The information attained is communicated to the Stellapps SmartMoo™ Big Data Cloud Service Delivery Platform (SDP) where the Stellapps SmartMoo™ group of applications decipher and crunch the received data beforehand. It then advances the analytics & data science outcome to multiple stakeholders over low-end and smart mobile devices. Stellapps today has over 200 customers, including many large Tier one customers and a number of other small customers, across the dairy industry pan India. The start-up has also expanded outside India having sold its solutions to a Dutch company for deployments in Kenya and sales in Nepal (through one among its channel partners in North India). The start-up plans to aggressively expand its business to other emerging markets in Africa, Southeast Asia , Latin-America, other SAARC nations and developed markets like Europe and US. The optimization of supply chain in the dairy industry was long overdue and stellapps is making the process smoother.
