KhethiNext is a unified digital platform to advance agriculture transformation through clever agricultural practices. The platform enables digital agriculture transformation to discover challenges in the agriculture sector in India that blockchain technology can accommodate. Challenge

KhethiNext aims to look at trials such as higher cultivation cost, increased losses in harvests, higher finance cost and lesser price realization. This leads to lower average annual income and in turn a poor livelihood of farmers.  Farmers lack the opportunity to rate their farm produce, track its movement, and follow the qualitative and quantitative aspects as it progresses through farms to final customers.

KhethiNext is a mobile app that enables the attainment of farm inputs. A farmer-centric app offered by the company enables the procurement of farm inputs at an inferior cost and thereby improves the superiority of produce, generates higher demand and enables farmers to sell produce at higher margins. KhethiNext facilitates definite functions in the industry like charting the supply chain, ensuring food safety, etc. They help over 4.5 lakh Indian farmers make a better living through the platform.

• To reduce the cultivation cost, the start-up guarantees to bring down the input cost by providing goods like seeds, fertilizer, organic and bio products to farmers at a cost-effective rate.

• It encourages precautionary agriculture among the farmer community to advance crop productivity.  For this, their expert panel of 15 retired scientists deliver knowledge and solutions to the farmers.

• The start-up also intends to cut down the interference of middlemen, for a clear pricing and improved profit share to the farmers. For which, the platform enables sale of the produce

KHETHINEXT dApp is the go-to solution for all of these problems and provides a one-stop solution to Indian farmers. It links farmers to experts of the domain who advise them on improved practices, low-cost farm inputs, and other techniques. It connects local farmers directly to the granary stores and removes the all middleman, thereby reducing costs. It also enhances the farmers-buyers relationship by increasing transparency in pricing and profit-sharing opportunities after successful profitable transactions.

Furthermore, they have two upcoming models – a farmer facility and pre-funded farming in line for launch. The company is moving ahead with a strong vision to reach 2.5 million farmers in the next five years.
