Agriplex is a Bengaluru based e-commerce startup that is involved in the production of agricultural products directly to the farms of the growers. It was the year 2016 when Mahesh Gopalakrishna Shetty initiated the idea of Agriplex backed by the goal to provide the farmers a better living through technology. At that period, the idea of e-commerce was not very popular and agriculture was considered a traditional way of life. Being at the forefront of agriculture and digital commerce, Agriplex has revolutionized the way farmers in India get to the basic requirements that the industry offers like seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, shovels, etc. Moreover, Agriplex with its user-friendly online portal and the coverage of large parts of the rural areas is now making it easy for the farmers to not only make informed decisions but also reducing the time and cost associated with it. The company’s products are not only of high quality but also pocket-friendly.
For millions of Indian farmers, sourcing genuine agricultural inputs is still riddled with challenges. From counterfeit products and price exploitation to delays in delivery and lack of agronomic guidance, the traditional supply chain is full of inefficiencies. Small and marginal farmers often travel long distances to buy essential items, only to face stock-outs or receive low-quality goods. Agriplex addresses these long-standing problems by digitizing the input supply chain—bringing timely access, expert-backed recommendations, and a trustworthy shopping experience to farmers’ mobile phones.
Agriplex has become a reliable partner for thousands of Indian farmers navigating the complexities of input procurement. By digitizing the purchase process, the platform has made quality agri-inputs more accessible, reduced farmer dependency on middlemen, and enabled timely decision-making. For many, especially in tier-2 and rural markets, Agriplex represents their first experience with digital agri-commerce. The result: improved productivity, better crop health, and more confident farming decisions.
Farmers report savings of up to 15–20% on input costs due to competitive pricing and verified quality. Moreover, by integrating public-sector agri schemes and private dealers under one ecosystem, Agriplex plays a key role in bridging the gap between policy and grassroots adoption.
In a village near Tumkur, Karnataka, smallholder farmer Lakshman had always relied on a local vendor for seeds and fertilizers. But stock issues and price hikes often delayed his sowing. After discovering Agriplex through a neighbor, he placed his first order for certified paddy seeds and micronutrients online. Not only did the products arrive within three days, but he also received crop guidance through Agriplex’s helpline. That season, Lakshman reported a 12% higher yield and fewer pest issues, crediting the quality of inputs and timely support. Today, he regularly orders through Agriplex and has introduced it to his FPO as well.
