AIC–ADT Baramati Foundation – Atal Incubation Centre, Baramati
Founded Year: April 1, 2019
Location: Pune District, Maharashtra – 413115, India
AIC–ADT Baramati Foundation is one of India’s most impactful rural incubators, established on April 1, 2019, under the flagship Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog. Hosted by the Agricultural Development Trust (ADT), Baramati, an institution with over five decades of excellence in agricultural development and education, AIC–ADT is deeply rooted in the vision of building a self-reliant and innovation-driven rural India.
This Atal Incubation Centre was conceptualized to bridge the urban-rural innovation divide by offering state-of-the-art incubation support in semi-urban and rural regions, empowering students, farmers, entrepreneurs, SHGs, and FPOs with entrepreneurial spirit and tools. Spread across a 110-acre green campus in Baramati, the centre offers unmatched access to co-working spaces, prototyping labs, FabLab, Food Processing Lab, MakerSpace, Analytical Lab, and event halls — making it a unique innovation ecosystem in rural India.
AIC–ADT Baramati works across a sector-agnostic model but holds strong domain strength in agriculture, agri-allied industries, renewable energy, social innovation, food-tech, engineering, and health-tech. It is designed to support idea-stage, prototype-level, and early-revenue startups by offering customized support modules, real-time mentorship, affordable workspace, and access to markets and investors.
What sets AIC–ADT apart is its deep community connect, thanks to ADT’s long-standing rural development work. The foundation is committed not only to high-tech innovation but also to inclusive entrepreneurship — ensuring participation from rural youth, women entrepreneurs, student innovators, and grassroots changemakers. The incubation model adopted here is flexible, accessible, and impact-oriented, ensuring that both urban and rural entrepreneurs get equal opportunities to scale their innovations.
With leadership under experienced professionals and a wide network of government, industry, and academic partners, AIC–ADT is today a thriving startup launchpad for innovators solving real-world challenges in rural, agricultural, and semi-urban contexts — aligned perfectly with the vision of “Startup India, Standup India”.
